The first TOYOTA sewing machine was created in 1946 under the strict supervision of Kiichiro Toyoda, the founder of TOYOTA Motor Corporation. Kiichiro Toyoda was a firm believer that household products should be "functional" yet beautiful. The first TOYOTA HA-1 sewing machine was so highly acclaimed that it allowed the same TOYOTA trademark to be used on TOYOTA vehicles.
