Reverse osmosis membrane elements TORAY (Japan-JAPAN)

TORAY reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane elements have been produced since 1967. Initially, cellulose acetate was used as the membrane material. Today's product line includes a full range of high-tech composite membranes based on aromatic polyamides, manufactured in fully automated facilities located in Japan and the USA and certified according to ISO-9001 and ISO-14001. The time-tested high quality of the produced membranes confirms the high professionalism of the organization of the manufacturing process.

Based on TORAY's extensive experience in the field of chemistry and polymer processing technology, a wide range of membrane products for water treatment and water treatment have been developed from membranes for the treatment of ultra-pure water to membranes that are not prone to pollution for wastewater treatment.

Typical applications for such membranes are:

Process water for the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food and energy industries;
Desalination of sea and brackish waters for water supply and irrigation purposes;
Additional treatment of industrial and household wastewater to the standards allowing discharge into water bodies for fishing purposes or meeting the requirements for reuse;
Extraction of valuable substances in the food industry.

Materials of industrially produced OO membranes :

Composite membranes based on cross-linked aromatic polyamide;
Composite membranes based on polypiperazine amide;
Cellulose acetate membranes.

Membrane elements for brackish waters :

The TORAY TM7xx series of elements for waters with high salinity and processes that place high demands on water quality and, as a result, require membranes to have high separation selectivity. Operating pressures 10-25 bar;
The TORAY TMG and TMH series of ultra-low pressure elements are for technological solutions where the main requirement is a constantly high quality of purified water with an increased flow rate. Operating pressures 7-15 bar;

Membrane elements for special applications :

- Elements resistant to hot water sanitization;
Nanofiltration elements resistant to active chlorine;
- Elements for the treatment of extra pure water;
- Elements for various industrial applications, food and liquor industry, as well as other special purposes.
